Standard vs Premium eSIM plans
Standard and Premium plans use the same networks, coverage and speeds. The difference is where your traffic exits to the internet, which affects a few location-sensitive apps.
Standard
Traffic routes via a Hong Kong exit. It is our lowest price for every destination. Maps, messaging, browsing and email all work normally, but a few apps like TikTok and some Facebook features may be geo-restricted.
Premium
Traffic exits outside Hong Kong, so TikTok, Facebook and other location-sensitive apps behave normally. Works everywhere, every app.
Android and TikTok
Our eSIMs are issued by a Hong Kong carrier. On Android, the TikTok app checks where your SIM comes from, not just your internet connection, so even a Premium plan may not unlock the TikTok app there. Two easy workarounds: keep your home physical SIM active alongside the eSIM, or use TikTok in your browser at tiktok.com, which works on any plan.
